History

2008: Green Energy Group AS (GEG) was established. The company’s objective was to develop a organisation capable of manufacture and commission prefabricated modular geothermal power plants. This would reduce the time from successfully drilled geothermal well to power online.

2009: In December 2009 the company signed a R&D contract with KenGen, the national power company of Kenya, to deliver the first 5 MW wellhead power plant.

2011: The company raised a combined MNOK 87 million in equity. Dr. Thorleif Enger, former CEO of blue chip industrial company with global operations, joined the company after having been elected as new Chairman of the Board in February. In May, the UK based clean-tech fund WHEB Venture became a major shareholder with two representatives at the Board of Directors. In the summer, Terje Laugerud, former CEO of CIBER International – a global information technology services company, became the company’s new CEO, and Peter Harris, former CFO of CIBER International, assumed the role as CFO. Stig Torvund took the position as Director of Sales and Marketing.
